Here's another quick tip if you're learning Japanese or any other language. Learning takes effort. You either spend it upfront or down the road. This tip is especially effective if you're at an intermediate level.
We are paradoxical creatures. We want freedom of choice. But we don't like making decisions. Sometimes, we even prefer when they are made for us. In this post, I share a visualizing concept I find useful to identify the decisions we tend to avoid.
A problem I find with focus studying is that while it allows you to get in the zone and concentrate your efforts on, say, vocabulary, reading, grammar, etc., you will eventually get "out" of the zone, back to your "normal" life.
